LIPMA Annual meeting and District Investiture
Well, another Masonic season has almost passed. We are in the home stretch for Lodges and newly (or soon to be) elected Worshipful Masters and Lodge officers.
Several notices have been sent to the Lodges of the Suffolk Masonic District regarding the agenda for the LIPMA annual meeting and District Investiture. Most notable is that the Master’s Chair Course will be given by the GLSO on May 21st from 9 am-12 pm at Riverhead Lodge for all new Masters. The GLSO has also opened the door to all Master Masons who would like to attend this training. You must register/RSVP prior to the course by emailing the GLSO at GLSO@suffolkmasons.com. No walk-ins will be allowed.
The LIPMA Annual meeting is comprised of all Past Masters. Past Masters that are members of LIPMA will be voting on several initiatives this year as well as some housekeeping-type items. The business meeting is always open to Past Masters. Also, we’ll be welcoming several new Past Masters who have submitted applications and paid their Lifetime dues.
One item of importance for the business meeting will be the reading and possible adoption of new by-laws for LIPMA. I believe the last time these by-laws were updated was the 1980s. So it is time to update.
After the business meeting the LIPMA members will be electing new leadership for LIPMA. If you are a member of LIPMA in good standing and would like to be involved, please contact me prior to the meeting so I can get you some info and get your name to the nominating committee.
The agenda for the LIPMA Annual meeting:
- 2-3 PM – Rehearsal for the Investiture (only those on the investing team and the AGLs need to attend)
- 3-5 PM – LIPMA Annul business meeting followed by the election of officers
- 5-6 PM – Suffolk District Investiture
- 6:30 PM – Dinner (all dinner attendees must present a paid ticket before dinner is served)
Dinner tickets can be purchased on the Suffolk Masonic District Website here -> LIPMA Annual Meeting/District Investiture – Suffolk Masonic District (suffolkmasons.com).
Finally my Brothers I would like to say thank you for trusting me though these last few years to lead the LIPMA and it has been a distinct honor and my privilege to do so. I could not have hoped for a better group of Brothers to have made it though. I hope that as new leadership takes the reins of LIPMA they continue the great work of guiding the leaders of the Craft and showing the way to all Brothers.
Sincerely & Fraternally,
V:.W:. William Arnold
